in this years draft. We have 2 of the top 33 players coming out of college and this new regime needs to be successful in this years draft. If things go accordingly, this will be the highest the Jags draft for some time. GM Caldwell has a great opportunity to establish himself as a great selector of personnel. The first pick needs to be a homerun, no reason to fail here. They're are several good choices available with the overall 2nd pick so failure should be a very minimal possibility. I think the more important pick in this draft is our pick at the top of the second round. We need to connect back to back with these picks and get 2 players that will start from day one for years to come. I also think this second round pick may be coveted by other teams who want to make a splash at the start of the second round, and may trade up to guarantee they get the player they have targeted. I like being at or near the top of each round of the draft, but I hope this is the last time it happens in my lifetime, with the exception of trades. On a unrelated note, if the price was right, I wouldn't mind signing Reggie Bush. I've been highly critical of him since he came into the league and undeservingly won the ROY instead of MJD. However, he seems to have improved each year and with his speed can't help but to improve our offense.
