The Jags have 2 of the top 33 picks in this draft and I think it's a great chance for GM Caldwell to cleanse the bad taste of the poor high round draft picks, who have failed miserably. Caldwell can definitely make a statement to his ability as an evaluator of talent. The 2nd pick overall should be an easy pick to be successful, there's a lot of really good players at the top of the draft. I think the 1st pick in the second round is the key pick. I think there is a chance that some team will want to move up in order to get the player they are targeting. If not, by looking at the mock drafts, there should definitely be a couple of very good players. It's great that we are near or at the top of every round but if things go accordingly, hopefully this will be the last year that we are up top. The second pick needs to be a homerun just like the 1st round pick, we should get 2 players who will start from day one. Caldwell definitely has a great chance to hit it big in the draft. On another note, and even though I haven't pulled for him much, especially since he beat out MJD for ROY, I wouldn't mind the Jags going after Reggie Bush if the price is right. With his speed, I think he would compliment MJD very nicely in the backfield. Adding speed to this offense should be a key to being more productive. I know we're not going to sign a bunch of free agents, I think if we sign 2 or 3 quality players along with our high draft picks, we should show marked improvement.
