Matt Flynn trade rumors: Jaguars 'most likely' destination

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be the most likely destination for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn if he's traded in the 2013 offseason, according to a report by Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports. LaCanfora reports the Jaguars have been looking for alternatives at the quarterback position, with just Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne currently on the roster.

Several NFL sources have identified Jacksonville as the most likely destination for Seattle backup quarterback Matt Flynn, and the Jaguars are among the teams to talk to the Seahawks about a deal. Buffalo and Oakland are also in the mix, and though things have progressed slowly, sources said a trade could materialize before the draft.

The Seahawks originally signed Flynn to a three-year, $19.5 million deal last offseason, but Flynn lost the starting job to Russell Wilson in training camp.

Prior to joining the Seahawks, Flynn was a back up for the Green Bay Packers and look excellent in a game of relief duty.

I'm not sure what the asking price for Flynn would be, but I'm not sure I'd give up much more than a fourth or fifth round pick at this point, but it appears the Jaguars have something up their sleeve for the future of the quarterback position going forward.
