Today I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to use Drafttek's 7 round mock draft found here http://www.drafttek.com/2013-NFL-Mock-Draft-Round1.asp . And I'm going to be the Jaguars and take players based off who's available when the Jaguars are there to make the pick. I may include a trade, and I will not look forward to other rounds to see who's available later, to make an ideal mock. I will do it by who's available starting round 1, then round 2, then round 3 etc.
1(2). Dion Jordan: Defensive End, Oregon
TRADE: Jaguars trade #33 to the Cowboys for their #47, #114, and 2014 3rd round pick. Cowboys select Kawann Short.
2(47). Kyle Long: Offensive Tackle, Oregon
3(64). Jamie Collins: Outside Linebacker, Southern Mississippi
4(98). Tyler Wilson: Quarterback, Arkansas
5(135). Sanders Commings: Cornerback, Georgia
6(169). Cooper Taylor: Strong Safety, Richmond
7(207). Rodney Smith: Wide Receiver, Florida State
I know realistically a few of these players won't be available where I selected them, but I did it based off who was available when I selected. We get our versatile swiss army knife in Dion Jordan. An athletic right tackle for the ZBS in Kyle Long. A very athletic linebacker in Jame Collins. A backup quarterback who has potential to unseat Gabbert and become a good QB in Tyler Wilson. A press corner that fits Bradley's scheme in Sanders Commings. A starting bandit safety in Cooper Taylor. And a raw red zone threat possesion receiver in Rodney Smith who will put Jerry Sullivan to work.
