2013 Season: Predictions for every game: Pre Draft

Last season, I predicted we would have a 12-4 record. That was a bit too optimistic, considering that we went 2-14. This is going to be my first prediction. This one before the draft and then another one after the draft. The dames in BOLD and ITALICS are games that I think we may win.

So, here we go.

Week 1: Miami Dolphins @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 21-17 Dolphins

Not the way you want to start the season, but we all know that the preseason doesn't mean much. Gabbert will have a pretty good game, but Tannehill will do better partially due to the addition of WR Mike Wallace.

Week 2: Jacksonville Jaguars @ New York Jets

Score: 20-14 Jaguars

The Jaguars get a win. Gabbert will throw 2 TDs, One to CS3 and to a rookie.

Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 24-14 Jaguars

Gabbert has another fantastic game. It looks like things are starting to fall into place. Two TDs passing, one to rookie WR and one to rookie RB. The other TD is a hand off to MJD.

Week 4: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Atlanta Falcons

Score: 35-10 Falcons

The Jags get destroyed in this game. Gabbert is intercepted twice and hands the ball off to MJD for a TD.

Preseason Record: 2-2

Regular Season:

Week 1: Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 28-14 Jaguars

Gabbert becomes the starter and has a great game at home vs. Kansas City. He throws three TDs, handing the 4th to MJD. The other three will be one to CSIII, one to a rookie WR, and the other to a rookie TE. Gabbert has no interceptions and exhibits much improved footwork and accuracy on intermediate routes.

Week 2: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Oakland Raiders

Score: 27-17 Jaguars

The Raiders game will be harder, partly because they are a better team than the Chiefs and partly because it is an away game for us. I'm predicting a victory for us because I think that with Bradley's defense and Blackmon/CS3, it would be a bit overwhelming for the Raiders. The addition of a rookie WR an rookie TE will just add to it.

Week 3: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Seattle Seahawks

Score: 27-24 (OT) Jaguars

I think that this will be a hard fought game, but because we have Bradley and his defense, and big plays from CS3 and some rookies, including Dion Jordan (hopefully) and a Scobee FG in OT will win it after a CS3 big play. The defense will stop Seattle afterwards.

Week 4: Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 20-17 Jaguars

I think we get another victory at home, but it comes in a fourth quarter comeback. The Jaguars score an amazing TD in the last seconds of the game to take the lead.

Week 5: Jacksonville Jaguars @ St. Louis Rams

Score: 23-17 Rams

I think the Rams will win a hard fought game with a TD in the last minute or so. Jeff Fisher is familiar with the Jaguars, and with Bradley's defensive scheme. Should be a good game to watch.

Week 6: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos

Score: 41-10 Broncos

As much as I would to bet the Broncos, It will be a game similar to the one from last year vs. Chicago. We will score ten points, but the combination of the Broncos running game, Decker, Thomas, Welker, and Peyton Manning is going to e too much for our defense. We will get a sack or two, thanks to more than likely Dion Jordan. I hate it when the Jags get destroyed, but we just aren't ready to beat the Broncos, not yet we aren't. I do doubt Peyton Manning and Welker will be around too much longer, at least Manning. He maybe has three years left at the most, since he is 37 years old.

Week 7: San Diego Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 17-14 Chargers

It will be a hard fought game, but Philip Rivers does a good job. We do have the lead at halftime, but we fall apart in the second half.

Week 8: San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars (London)

Score: 28-27 Jaguars

Hard fought game. Gabbert does an amazing job in the last 45 seconds of the game to get well within Scobee's FG Range. The ball is snapped with 1 second left, but Scobee doesn't kick until there are 0 seconds left and win. Great game to watch.

Week 10: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans

Score: 24-14 Titans

Tgis is an away game and I think the Titans will win it.

Week 11: Arizona Cardinals @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 21-10 Jaguars

We win at home because I think our defense will smother the Cardinals offense, especially Carson Palmer with sacks/pressure.

Week 12: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans

Score: 34-17 Texans

This is yet another tough loss. Yes, they lost Connor Barwin, but they gained Ed Reed.

Week 13: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cleveland Browns

Score: 21-17 Jaguars

I'm predicting a win here because I am a little skeptical on Rob Chudzinski (I hope I spelled his name right) as a Head Coach. Also the Browns have lost Joshua Cribbs, according to this roster: A lack of pass rush for them, Sheard and Kruger are the exception. They also have Quentin Groves on the roster. I think we win this win CS3 and Blackmon.

Week 14: Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 27-20 Texans

We try to get a win on a fourth quarter comeback, but an interception within the last minute seals our fate in this game.

Week 15: Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 27-21 Bills

We start out in the lead, 14-3 at halftime, but turnovers in the second half cost us a big win. To interceptions and a fumble prove to be extremely costly.

Week 16: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Score: 28-10 Jaguars

The Jaguars dominate the Titans this time. A strong running game plus a balanced passing attack and a stingy defense will help us win this one. Locker will be intercepted at least once, and sacked at least 3 times, twice by Dion Jordan if we draft him, which it is looking more likely that we will draft Jordan. The interception would likely be from yet another rookie, possibly Darius Slay, and if so, possibly a Pick 6. This is a great victory for the Jaguars. It gives the fan base more confidence in Coach Bradley's system and his coaching staff, as well as the roster. Confidence continues to build in General Manager Dave Caldwell.

Week 17: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts

Score: 28-17 Colts

Andrew Luck lights our defense up early, but we try to make a comeback. Unfortunately, we can not score enough points fast enough.

At least this is a huge improvement from the 2012 season, where we went 2-14. Gabbert is also able to stay healthy all season for the first time in his career. Gabbert has his best season yet. He starts all 16 games and passes for just over 4,000 yards. His Completion % will be above 60%, and his QB Rating will be above 80%.

Final Record: 8-8.

I hope y'all enjoyed this!
