2013 NFL Draft results: Abry Jones has a shot to make the Jaguars

Kevin C. Cox

The Jacksonville Jaguars were quick to act in college free agency once the 2013 NFL Draft came to a conclusion and they landed a handful of players who could wind up making the opening day roster, and even might wind up being role players.

One such player is Georgia defensive lineman Abry Jones, who surprisingly went undrafted.

The 6'3" 313 pounds lineman played all over the place in Georgia's 3-4 defense, including lining up at the three-technique and two gapping at the defensive end position. Jones is a big long player, with 35 arms who might be someone that Gus Bradley and David Caldwell view can will the "big end" role on the Jaguars defensive line, similar to how Red Bryant is used on the Seattle Seahawks.

Jones had a down season his final year at Georgia, following up what looked to be a breakout year in 2011 when he had four sacks and a handful of tackles for loss playing all over the line. For the Jaguars however, their defensive front is in a state of flux and Jones is someone who would seem to be a perfect fit for what Bradley would like to do.
