Dear Justin Blackmon,
You received a DUI in college and then another just a month after the 2012 NFL Draft. Now you have been suspended for games for violating the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy. What are you going to do now?
you were a college kid when you got your first DUI, we are not going to focus on that one specifically because you were you and made a mistake. Every body makes mistakes, some more serious than others, but still mistakes.
Your second DUI showed us that it could happen again. That time, you blew a .24. You were still young, so we aren't going to focus on it.
Now, you have violated the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy. What's going on? Did you have family problems at home while you were still in grade school? What happened?
Now you have a lot to prove. You did make one good choice by taking full responsibility for your actions. Now you need to do something to break these habits. Your team needs you. You were drafted with the 5th overall pick in 2012. Now you have to act like one. I know you are kicking yourself because of what you did, but you can't forget it. You have to do something about it. You have to change. I do believe that you are sorry for it, but you have to use this suspension to your advantage and work on giving up the habit, and practicing to get better on the field. If something goes wrong and you feel like you need alcohol or drugs, just put your "anger" on te field against the opposing defenses.
Good luck Justin. I hope you can change. Do it for yourself.
