2013 NFL schedule: Times, dates for preseason announced

USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 Jaguars will debut against the Dolphins on Aug. 9.

The previously revealed preseason schedule was fully announced on Tuesday, as the NFL revealed the official dates and times for each game, including the four games scheduled for the Jaguars.

Dolphins vs. Jaguars - Friday, Aug. 9 - 7:30 p.m.
Jaguars vs. Jets - Saturday, Aug. 17 - 7:30 p.m.
Eagles vs. Jaguars - Saturday, Aug. 24 - 7:30 p.m.
Jaguars vs. Falcons - Thursday, Aug. 29 - 7:30 p.m.

The Jaguars will begin their 2013 preseason schedule with a home game against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will serve as the professional debut for many of the players on the Jaguars, as the team consists of many young players, but will be the second game of the preseason for the Dolphins, who are scheduled to play in the Hall of Fame Game against the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 4, just five days prior.

However, the game that should be the one to watch is the third game against the Eagles. Typically in preseason play, the third game is the closest you'll see to a regular season exhibition as coaches usually play starters longer than any other preseason game and try to use it as a final tuneup before the regular season, while the fourth game is used to evaluate the players on the bubble for roster cuts.
