Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin missed much of OTAs with a groin injury that required some surgery to fix, leaving a lot of people to wonder if he'd be ready to go by the time training camp rolled around, but Babin insists that he should be 100 percent relatively soon.
"I'm about nine days out from being 100 percent," Babin told Jaguars.com on Saturday, June 28. "Milo (Tom Myslinski) and Mike (Ryan), they've got close watch over me. They don't let me go too hard."
After Babin, the Jaguars depth at the "LEO" end position is running thin with just second-year player Andre Branch as the only other player with experience in the NFL. The team has a couple of young players with promise in OTAs, but if the defense is going to put pressure on the quarterback in 2013 they will need the services of Babin going forward.
