2013 season has yet to start but i was thinking about 2014 and how to improve the team through the draft and, i had that idea : Selecting guys from A&M following the selection of Luke Joeckel.
It could start with Manziel : Sure he lacks ideal size and does not have a cannon for an arm but he's very accurate in the short and intermediate areas, has mobility in the pocket and can win yards with his feet. As a bonus he could bring some excitement to a franchise in need for it.
Mike Evans is an interesting prospect at WR, he led his team with 82 receptions for 1,105 yards and 5 TDs in 2012 and at 6-5 he has great size to complement Blackmon and Shorts.
Individually it would make sense but it is the chemistry they built together which are the most valuable. Put Joeckel on the left side, we all know he has what it takes to be a blindside protector and nobody knows better how Manziel moves, nobody could protect him better. Manziel knows how Evans runs his routes and where he's the more efficient. The Jags could gain lots of time in their rebuilding mode with rookies who know each other, who worked together. We're so far from 2014 draft but for now i imagine myself saying "Go Jacksonville Aggies, Go".
