The Jacksonville Jaguars have not had any recent success, of course we went 2-14 last season but this season is looking up for the Jags.
Point #1 - New Regime: The Jaguars cleared house, No more Gene Smith blowing away draft picks, or coaches that can't coach. The Jaguars brought in David Caldwell, former Falcons director of player personal. Caldwell has shown flashes, the Jaguars have had a conservative offseason, signing players here and there, but when they did it was becuase they could PLAY in the system. The Jaguars also had a great draft really filling alot of team needs with Luke Joeckel, Jonathan Cyprien, Dwayne Gratz, Ace Sanders, Denard Robinson, Josh Evans, Jeremy Harris and Demetrius McCray. You also cannot forget about the bringing in of Gus Bradley, leading the Seahawks to the #3 Defense in the league. He also helped form the Legion of BOOM.
Point #2 - Defensive Line: The Jaguars improved the defensive line drastically. Run stuffer duo Senderick Marks and Roy Miller along with Jason Babin, Jeremy Mincey, Andre Branch and Tyson Alualu at end. The Jaguars D-Line has much more depth with the additions of Kyle Love and Brandon Deadrick off of waivers. All in all the Jags Defensive line has improved much more from this time last year.
Final Point - Oozing with young talent: The Jaguars have added alot of young players, alot with some extreme potential, Luke Joeckel, Jon Cyprien, Dwayne Gratz, Tobais Palmer, and others. The Jaguars new roster is showing alot of promise, with Denard Robinson and Ace Sanders this team gets a huge speed boost on offense and special teams. Gratz on the other hand will probably be a Week 1 starter and will have lots of expectations, he adds alot to the defense with his strength and physicality.
