Will Rackley injury: Jaguars G leaves game with leg injury, will not return

Melina Vastola-USA TODAY Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars guard Will Rackley was helped off the field during the first quarter of Saturday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles after suffering what is being labeled by the team as a leg injury. While it was difficult to tell whether it was an ankle or knee injury, it appeared that trainers on the bench were looking at his knee before he walked to the locker room.

While it's a good sign that Rackley was able to walk on the sideline and limp to the locker room, the injury did not look good on the field and would be a huge hit for the Jaguars offensive line. Rackley missed the entire 2012 season with an ankle injury that sent him to injured reserve in late August.

If Rackley is lost for a significant amount of time it would be a huge loss for the Jaguars who are lacking in offensive line depth. On an offensive line that has gelled at times during the preseason, Rackley has looked primed for a strong season after a shaky start to his NFL career after he was drafted in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Rackley will not return to Saturday's game.
