The Jacksonville Jaguars have added offensive guard Jacques McClendon to the roster, claiming them off waivers on Sunday afternoon.
McClendon was originally drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth-round of the 2010 NFL Draft. The 25-year old interior offensive lineman has spent time with the Colts, Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, and most recently the Atlanta Falcons. In the 2013 preseason McClendon was in pass protection 87 times and allowed just four hurries, according to Pro Football Focus.
The interior offensive line depth for the Jaguars is clearly an issue, so the claim makes sense.
So far the Jaguars have released just Kyle Love, so they'll need to release six more players to accommodate their seven waiver claims.
