Home isn't where yards have been for Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew | jacksonville.com
Maurice Jones-Drew gets a second chance to celebrate his homecoming Sunday.A year ago, the Bay Area native made his first appearance of his NFL career in Oakland, but didn’t put on a show for his family and friends.Jones-Drew suffered a foot injury on the first play, stayed in for one more play before limping off and missing the rest of the season. On Sunday, the Jaguars return to Oakland — they also played in San Francisco in 2009 in a 20-3 loss — and Jones-Drew insists he won’t be thinking about the play that ended his season.

Inside the Jaguars: Searching for a rhythm
The Wildcat still lives in Jacksonville. Very much so. And Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said nothing Thursday afternoon to indicate otherwise, saying that the biggest reason Denard Robinson wasn’t used more often in the regular-season opener had little to do with Robinson. Rather, it was about circumstance. And because the circumstances in the regular-season opener didn’t always present favorable situations, Robinson – the running back/quarterback the Jaguars refer to as "offensive weapon" – wasn’t used as originally might have been the case.

Gus Bradley wants Chad Henne to 'capture' Jaguars QB job - SBNation.com
With Jacksonville quarterback Blaine Gabbert out for Week 2, the Jaguars' coaching staff is counting on his replacement to take advantage of the opportunity for extra playing time against the Raiders. Gabbert required 15 stitches after suffering a laceration to his hand in the Jaguars' 28-2 loss against the Chiefs, and veteran Chad Henne will replace the injured starter against Oakland on Sunday. Head coach Gus Bradley hopes that the sixth-year player will step up in Gabbert's absence and prove he deserves the job moving forward.
