Chiefs vs. Jaguars: Jacksonville is 4-1 at home against Kansas City

Jamie Squire

The Jaguars and Chiefs have only played nine times, but the Jaguars have owned the series so far with a 6-3 record.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs have only played nine times in their history, with the Jaguars holding a 6-3 all-time record against the Chiefs. Not only do the Jaguars have the lead in the overall series between the teams, but the Jaguars have also dominated at home against Kansas City, holding a 4-1 record at EverBank Field.

The last time the Chiefs have won in Jacksonville was over a decade ago, back in 2001 when the Chiefs won 30-26 in Week 16. Trent Green threw for nearly 300 yards, had two touchdowns and Priest Holmes ran for 91 yards and a touchdown.

The last time the two teams played each other however, the Chiefs won 42-20. The game appeared like it was going to be competitive, especially with the early surprise play from quarterback Todd Bouman (who was signed off a tractor, literally) when it was 14-13 at halftime, but in the second half the Chiefs pulled away after some turnovers.
