The NFC Championship game takes place on Sunday evening, with two AFC West rivals meeting for the third time this season. The San Francisco 49ers will make their way to Century Link Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks have been dominant at home most of the season, losing just a single game.
The matchup is what most people seemed to expect in the preseason, with the 49ers one step from making back-to-back Super Bowls, losing last year's bout with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Seahawks and 49ers met twice this season already, splitting the divisional series with each home team coming away the winner. In the most recent matchup, the 49ers pulled out a 19-17 victory at home, taking the lead right before halftime and never relinquishing it.
The early season matchup in Seattle however saw the Seahawks dominate the 49ers in a 29-3 win. The Seahawks defense held the 49ers to just 207 total yards and forced five turnovers, including three interceptions by Colin Kaepernick.
