The Jaguars found out on Monday that they will be represented at the NFL Pro Bowl game this Sunday in Hawaii.
Starting middle linebacker Paul Posluszny was added to the pool of Pro Bowl players after 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis removed himself due to injury. Posluszny led the Jaguars in tackles this season and was the leader of a defense that was much improved in 2013.
Posluszny is the first Jaguars Pro Bowler since both Maurice Jones-Drew and Montell Owens were selected to play in 2011 and is the first Jaguars linebacker to play in the game since Kevin Hardy went in 1999.
Unlike in past years in which players represented their conferences in the Pro Bowl, this year the teams will be selected in a draft conducted by team captains Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders on Wednesday night.
