The southeast was hit by a winter storm that most have dubbed the POLAR VORTEX this week. Jacksonville was hit too, but there was never any real snow or ice to deal with. Atlanta on the other hand was hit with snow, which froze as ice on the highways and caused the city to shutdown.
Many people were stranded, as this happened during rush hour. This led to people being stuck in places like Publix, CVS and the Atlanta airport. Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee was one of those people, as he slept in the airport on Wednesday evening.
Sooooo I'm stuck in the ATL airport for the night. Thanks a lot, Obama.— Josh Scobee (@JoshScobee10) January 30, 2014
Pulling an all-nighter at the ATL airport. Who wants to party with me?— Josh Scobee (@JoshScobee10) January 30, 2014
I "slept" on the floor at the ATL airport along with thousands of other stranded travelers. Ohhh Mother Nature.— Josh Scobee (@JoshScobee10) January 30, 2014
People look like zombies around here this morning, including me.— Josh Scobee (@JoshScobee10) January 30, 2014
I would suggest Josh hit up One Flew South in the airport for a nice meal. They have a wonderful duck confit sandwich. No seriously, eat at that place. It's awesome.
