First Mock

Some of these picks might be a little hopeful in where they are selected but hey it’s a mock draft! I tried my best to pick players around where they are ranked now but who knows what the rankings will look like in three months. Also by the end of this you may have guessed I am an SEC fan and watch a lot of their games. Anyways, LETS GET IT STARTED!

Round 1 (3): Jadeveon Clowney DE, South Carolina

Best football player in this draft. He will be a terror to opposing QB’s for years to come.
Round 2 (39): Dee Ford De, Auburn

Not sure he makes it this far but hoping he does because he is a pass rushing specialist and combining him with Clowney will be unbelievable. These two will finally lift us from the perennial slump of terrible pass rushing!
Round 3 (70): Tre Mason RB, Auburn

Again, not sure he makes it this far but I would love if we could pick him at this point in the draft. He is the best running of this draft in my opinion.
Round 4 (101): Aaron Murray QB, Georgia

Finally a QB is selected. Murray is an accurate passer who comes from a pro-style offense. He has strong arm and is mobile enough to escape pressure and keep the play alive. Additionally, last year Tony Dungy said he would have taken Murray first overall had he come out for the 2013 draft. I have a lot of respect for Dungy and take his comment into account.
Round 4 (110): Bryan Stork C, Florida State

Center is a big need with Meester finally retiring. It’s a tall order, but hopefully Stork can last as long and be as successful.
Round 5 (132): Ronald Powell OLB, Florida

Super athletic OLB who fits Gus’s defense and falls this far because of injury concerns
Round 5 (138): Walt Aikens CB, Liberty

Familiar with press play in college and fits the mold of the long athletic CB Gus and Dave look for.
Round 5 (147): Tahj Boyd QB, Clemson

Another QB to develop and compete for the starting job.
Round 6 (163): Lamin Barrow ILB, LSU

Long athletic player who needs to be coached up on some of the fundamentals.
Round 7 (199): Jay Prosch FB, Auburn

Strong runner who can clear the way for Tre just like in college
