Jaguars sign Zane Beadles, according to report

The Jaguars have signed veteran offensive lineman Zane Beadles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed veteran free agent offensive lineman Zane Beadles, according to a report by Adam Caplann.  The Jaguars have obvious holes on the interior of their offensive line and Beadles can fill at least one of those guard positions.

Originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft and began his career as a right tackle before kicking inside at left guard his rookie season. He has started 62 of a possible 64 games in his NFL career so far, though he has been inconsistent so far in his career.

As a rookie his play was up and down, but during his sophomore season according to Pro Football Focus he was not very good much of the season. Then again, much of the season Tim Tebow was his quarterback and often put the offensive line in tough positions.

When Peyton Manning became the quarterback of the Broncos, Beadles sacks allowed too a drop off and he had the best year of his career in 2012, but came back down to earth in 2013. Depending on how much the deal for Beadles is, it would appear the Jaguars got a solid starter, at the worst.
