Just going over what's still available in free agency. I feel like we need to add one more guard and one maybe two receivers. I know we've had Emmanuel Sanders in for a visit but he seems to be after more money than we want to pay. That or he's just seeing what else is out there. So I was looking at a few options out there.
For Guard there aren't that many more options that fit what we should be looking for. I have two guys in mind. Shelley Smith who is a zone run blocker from the Rams, and Bruce Campbell who is an athletic freak who would fit as our move guard (right guard). We could still make a run at Mack I think at some point but I also think they are content with what we already have or are looking at one of the centers available in the draft.
For receiver I found a few options as well. Some guys that need a new start that have ability and talent. I think we should take a shot at Jacoby Ford, he's got ridiculous speed he has suffered from inconsistency and drops. I think Jerry Sullivan and Gus could easily max out his potential. Not to mention he is one of the best returners in the league. Then there is Damian Williams at 6'1" and almost 200 lbs he's a some what bigger receiver that is going on 26. He has big play potential, not too mention he's a Pete Carrol product out of USC. Danario Alexander is a huge receiver at 6'5" 217 lbs. who is primarily a deep threat receiver and red zone target. Both of which would help us out. You can even put Kenny Britt on the list although he is the biggest risk I'd think. He was on a steady decline but that could be just from him wanting out of Tennessee. If that's the case then Gus would surely light a fire there. While Emmanuel Sanders is obviously the first choice I'd be willing to take a shot on one or two of these guys if he doesn't want to come here. Well what do you all think?
