It is finally official, as i posted before, but now it has been confirmed according to BBC and starsandstripesfc.com. Jacksonville will host the USMNT against Nigeria on June 7th. Jacksonville has hosted friendlies before, but guys, this is a very special event for this city. We get the honor and the privilege to send the USMNT off to Brazil. They will leave the very next day and head to Brazil. What an exciting time to be in Jacksonville, and i hope you all show Khan and co that soccer can work in this city. Soccer is growing and gaining steam, especially with the BPL and NBC buying their rights to show all of their matches. I know we just got a professional team in the city, shouts out to Jax Armada FC, but its not an MLS team. If we sell out this stadium, pack the house, we potentially can be a future candidate for an MLS team.
Back to the USMNT, this will be an early test to Ghanna. Nigeria is a very good team, very similar to Ghanna and a great chance to get sample of what we will have to do against Ghanna. If the US wants any shot at getting out of the group, beating Ghanna is a must.
Once tickets go on sale, i will post it, and get them quick, it will go fast. GO JAGS and GO USA!!!!
