I saw a post with a website that allowed you to do a mock draft game, so i went and did one! Let me know what you guys think.
Round 1 Pick 4 (CLE): Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville (A)
In hindsight I probably shouldn't have traded down one spot and just went ahead and grabbed him. Teddy is good, and I hope we land him.
Round 2 Pick 7: Dee Ford, DE, Auburn (A-)
If we don't go pass rusher in the first round, I believe we should grab one with our 2nd round pick. A good player at Auburn. He should be able to play the LEO position.
Round 3 Pick 6: Davante Adams, WR, Fresno State (A)
A big receiver with speed. WR is a need for this team, especially a taller one.
Round 4 Pick 5: Bryan Stork, C, Florida State (B+)
I passed up on a center with the 3rd round pick, so i was glad that one fell to me here.
Round 4 Pick 14: Jon Halapio, OG, Florida (B-)
The RG spot needs to be filled, and this is right around Halapio's range. The Jags coaches coached him at the Senior Bowl. If they like him this could be the pick.
Round 5 Pick 4: Antone Exum, CB, Virginia Tech (A)
Our corner situation still needs a little work. Exum is big and could potentially play CB and FS. I think he was a good value at this point.
Round 5 Pick 10: Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana (C-)
Another big receiver with above average speed. Some people are talking about this kid going in the 2nd and 3rd rounds so i couldn't pass on him.
Round 5 Pick 19: James Hurst, OT, North Carolina (A)
I watched him play against Clowney and he had a very good game. It never hurts to add OL depth and talent, especially this late in the draft.
Round 6 Pick 3: Kevin Norwood, WR, Alabama (C)
I know this is the 3rd receiver I have taken, but he is a really good and this is the 6th round. Also i believe Alfie likes him a lot.
Round 6 Pick 29: Walt Aikens, CB, Liberty (C-)
The Blaine Gabbert trade gave us this pick, and i decided to use it on a big corner that the Jags coaches saw at the Senior Bowl.
Round 7 Pick 3 (CLE): Storm Johnson, RB, UCF (A)
I heard that the jags had brought him in for a visit. At this point in the 7th round I grabbed someone that could provide good depth and possibly start sometime in the future.
Round 7 Pick 7: Aaron Colvin, CB, Oklahoma (D)
It's too bad that he tore his ACL during the Senior Bowl. He should probably be a day 2 pick, so I felt good grabbing him with our last pick.
