The Jacksonville Jaguars will host a rookie mini-camp shortly after the 2014 NFL Draft, the team announced on Thursday afternoon. It will be a total of three days and should be open to the general public, free of charge.
The dates announced for the mini-camp are May 16 and 17, with the possibility of there being a third day on May 18.
Generally rookie mini-camps are three day affairs, but teams are now allowed to bring in draft picks and undrafted rookies the day after the 2014 NFL Draft, so it could cut down on the need for the players to be on the field to be evaluated.
The practices will be held at the Jaguars practice facility located directly next to EverBank Field.
Last offseason a handful of players impressed at the rookie mini-camp and were invited to the full OTA and training camp regimen and it's likely the case there will be some more of that this season.
