New take on a Mock Draft

So, I am sitting here thinking about all the QBs avail this year. Lets consider this, would we all be so excited over Bridgewater/Bortles/Manziel if next years QB class were in this one? Imagine if in this draft also had Marcus Mariota, Jameis Winston, Brent Hundley......we would even be mentioning any of the current top 3 with such excitement? Given that school of thought, here is my below Mock Draft, where we take a QB in the later round, but we build up a very solid team realizing that the QB class is much deeper next year. Big Picture, baby!

Round 1, Pick 3 - Khalil Mack, LEO, Buffalo.

Beast. Clowney will be gone top two. I also wouldn't hate taking Mike Evans here.

Round 2, Pick 39 - Kelvin Benjamin, WR, FSU

We take KB here and add a much needed weapon.

Round 3, Pick 70 - Weston Richburg, C, Colorado State

I still love his potential as the next Meester, and I think taking Clowney actually makes this pick more likely. I'd rather have guys like him and Benjamin instead of our "dating" QB in the first 3 rounds, before the talent level drops off a bit in the 4th.

Round 4, Pick 105 - Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU

If he falls to the 4th, I like his potential. I don't think he will, though, so replace with David Fales as my 2nd favorite dating QB. I like their potential. Stay away from Aaron Murray/AJ McCarron, I think they haven't shown that they have potential and we already have a veteran backup in Chad Henne.

Round 4, Pick 114 - Dri Archer, WR, Kent State

Insanely fast. Instant upgrade on special teams. ESPN and CBS projecting him to go in the 3rd or 4th. Great hands. Could be used a slot recevier as well. Fisch is a very creative OC and will find ways to captialize on his speed. If only he were taller!

Round 5, Pick 144 - Crockett Gimore, TE, CSU

Same reasons I listed before.

Round 5, Pick 150 - David Fales, QB, San Jose St.

We are going to pick one QB in the draft, I see Fales being the best player available (QB wise) left at this point.

Round 5, Pick 159 - Antone Exum, CB, VT

Big, physical corner. Could be Richard Sherman-esque.

Round 6, Pick 179 - Russell Bodine, OG, UNC

BIG ole boy. Solid player. Adds depth to our line.

Round 6, Pick 205 - Tyler Starr, OLB, South Dakota

Think this kid will turn some heads. He already did at the combine.

Round 7, Pick 222 - Brandon Colemnan, WR, Rutgers

He would have to fall a bit here, but he would be a steal in the 7th round. 6'6, great hands.

The idea is that we really build a solid team around a QB, not put so much pressure on a QB to come in and perform with the weight of carrying the team on his back.......

(or we take Manziel)
