The United States take on Portugal in second round of group play in the 2014 World Cup on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The U.S. is in a solid position to finish in one of the top two spots of the group. Portugal is currently three points behind the U.S. and five goals behind in goal differential -- thanks to Germany's 4-0 domination last Monday. The U.S. should also be helped by Portugal defender Pepe being getting sent off with a red card for a senseless head butt, meaning he's suspended today.

But Portugal can also take advantage of a U.S. team that's a bit nicked up. Striker Jozy Altidore has been ruled out of the match after suffering a strained left hamstring against Ghana.

If the U.S. can so much as draw with Portugal tonight, it'll mean four points and second place in Group G.
