Since getting banned from Stampede Blue years ago I never felt the need to read the blog. Brad Wells was keen in his efforts to write scathing commentary while failing to maintain a thick enough skin to weather equally harsh retorts. The shame of it all is that he had solid arguments, great insight and reputable sources. Yet when challenged on the malice and tone of his articles he hid behind his authority, banning anyone and everyone who sought to challenge his authority.
That he had a hand in building Big Cat Country was a double edged sword as those with whom he aligned saw fit to defend his actions rather than hold him to a higher standard. Brad was arrogant enough to threaten me with being banned from SB Nation on the whole when I reported him to those who manage the SB Nation site. It appears I was up against an establishment that felt no need to monitor itself. There were many of us who wore it as a badge of honor to get banned, and in fact made an effort to push him to that extreme. May banning was a direct reaction to a defense of other Big Cat Country residents who were banned for petty reasons.
Don't think it was only opposing fans who found him juvenile. Many a Colts fan vocally opposed his tactics.
As time progressed his tone settled, but apparently something he did finally caught up with him.
If you were banned there is a strong possibility the ban was lifted, and you can again participate in football discussions with our beloved neighbors to the north...west. Many could have easily created a secondary account so this is irrelevant.
Rejoice!!! The king is dead!!! Long live the king!!!!
A fan's appeal to leave Brad alone. The comments are classic.
