The Jacksonville Jaguars are 22 days away from their preseason opener against the New York Jets and that means we're counting down the top plays of last season.
Yesterday was when Blake Bortles and the Jaguars offense hanging a 50 BURGER on the Indianapolis Colts. It was beautiful. It was masterful. It was 30 percent of my summer television viewing.
Today's top play?
No. 22: Bortles going through five or six reads for the touchdown
Yes, it seems like a very routine play. But you've got to understand... first, we were awful in the red zone last year. God awful. Second, Blake Bortles puts too much pressure on himself to make a lights out play every play and that led to some disastrous decisions close to the end zone in 2015. This play shows him waiting, waiting, and waiting... all while using his mobility and athleticism to extend the play and get a good line on the eventual receiver: T.J. Yeldon.
Does Blake Bortles' patience and T.J. Yeldon's catch in the end zone deserve to be in the top 25 of 2015? Let us know in the comments below!
