Latest Los Angeles stadium whispering is that there could be two NFL teams relocating to share a stadium. If just one stadium is built, the San Diego Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and Vikings are considered contenders for relocation.

Vic on JDR Stopping Garrard's Radio Show
Stephen from Jacksonville
"Del Rio cancels Garrard's weekly show" is the headline read on ESPN. It sounds to me like sour grapes. David was out promoting the product and doing his best to help build a fan base and Del Rio didn't like the fact that he wasn't included. It's not like Del Rio and his bland personality are out there trying to get people excited about Jaguars football. Mr. Ketchman, you know better than I do, but is there really anything wrong with what Garrard was doing?Vic: I’ve been covering the Jaguars from their inception and that includes two head coaches and I can tell you that Jack Del Rio didn’t do anything Tom Coughlin or any other coach wouldn’t have done. What you don’t know, Stephen, is that Friday’s practice schedule is tailored for players to get home early, relax, do things around the house and spend time with their families. Why is that important? Because they’re going to be gone all weekend. They will report to the stadium on Saturday morning and they will go from there to the hotel, etc. No coach shortens the work day so his players can do radio interviews. Friday afternoon is the concentration line, Stephen. The players cross it when they get within 48 hours of kickoff and coaches want their players to have a singular focus from that point on. It’s been that way forever and every beat guy who covers any team knows this to be true and they know it to be fair. The game plan has been installed and coaches don’t want anything being said that might reveal its contents or the medical condition of a teammate. When we get to Friday afternoon, Stephen, every coach in the league becomes hyper-sensitive. Friday is lock-down. I knew coach Del Rio would get ripped on this thing because America loves nothing more than a good freedom-of-speech argument and this made for an easy target. Coach Del Rio was in a no-win position. Also, it provided another excuse for fans not buying tickets: He wouldn’t let Garrard interact with us. That is such crap.

Third string quarterback Tyler Thigpen has been traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to Miami for an "undisclosed" draft choice, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Our View: Might Thigpen soon be the starter in Miami? With Chad Pennington out for the season, the Dolphins are going with Chad Henne in Week 4, but Henne has thrown just 31 career passes compared to Thigpen's 426. Henne is undoubtedly Miami's quarterback of the future, but if they haven't chalked up 2009 just yet, Thigpen could get a look, and it could be soon.
SERIOUSLY? And we couldn't get him...?

Can anyone please do an analysis of each rookie that has played so far. Please explain the pros and cons they have showed. All I have is the BCC and Vic's blog to follow the games. I dont get to see any of it. Thanks
Don't think the ticket situation is foreshadowing the potential for Jacksonville to lose the Jaguars? Pay close attention to Vic Ketchman's very direct comment on the situation.
"I wish I could tell you there’s a chance enough tickets could be sold for the blackout to be lifted, but there’s no chance of that happening. My concern now is for what will happen when the blackout becomes official this afternoon. Will there be a spike in ticket sales, as is usually the case, or will sales remain flat? The league will watch that very closely. Do the people in this town understand how critical this situation is to the town’s future? That’s the burning question. When I came here in 1995, Jacksonville was regarded as one of the hot spots in the country. It was a community of intense growth and the Jaguars were the centerpiece and symbol of that growth. That perception, however, has changed. The following appeared in the "Baltimore Sun" recently: "I think generally the NFL made a mistake during expansion," said John Moag, former head of the Maryland Stadium Authority, who negotiated the Ravens move from Cleveland after Baltimore was denied a team during the expansion process. "I think they misread growth potential of the Jacksonville market." As you can see, the perception of Jacksonville now is that the growth has stopped and that perception will have a devastating effect on the town’s commerce. It’s a perception that could impact Jacksonville negatively for several generations, and it would’ve never surfaced had these blackouts not occurred. The empty seats in the stadium on Sunday are a big deal."

weaver on tebow:
"Star power is incredible, and Tebow is an iconic figure," Weaver said, noting that Brett Favre’s(notes) arrival in Minnesota prompted about 7,000 season-ticket sales. "That’s very compelling. He clearly is an outstanding football player and would be an asset to any football organization."

According to the Florida Times-Union, Jaguars' coach Jack Del Rio pointed the finger at quarterback David Garrard in the wake of Sunday's loss to the Colts. 'I thought he missed some things he needs to do better for us to be the kind of offense we have designs on being,' Del Rio said about Garrard's 14-of-28 passing performance.
