Despite passing a concussion test, wide receiver Cecil Shorts III has not returned to the practice field.
Although he passed his concussion test on Wednesday, Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III was still feeling concussion-like symptoms and missed practice later that day. He was off the practice field again on Thursday and could be one of many offensive players for the Jaguars out on Sunday against the Jets.
Shorts was one of several to miss practice on Thursday which doesn't bode well for his status on Sunday, especially considering the rash of concussion problems the Jaguars have had in the last two years. Wide receiver Laurent Robinson is on the injured reserve after multiple concussions earlier in the season and linebacker Clint Session was waived on Tuesday after multiple concussions in the 2011 season caused concussion-like symptoms that ended his year and the subsequent season as well.
Also not practicing on Thursday were offensive lineman Mike Brewster, running backs Rashad Jennings and Maurice Jones-Drew, as well as cornerback Aaron Ross, leaving the possibility that the Jaguars could be very short-handed in Week 14.
