At 44.5 points, the over/under for total points between the 1-4 Jaguars and the 1-4 Raiders is the second lowest of the Week 7 game. It's not surprising that most think that two teams that rank in the bottom five in points scored per game would have difficulty scoring points against each other.
However, neither team has had too much success defensively either. The Jaguars and Raiders rank No. 25 and No. 27 in points allowed per game, so it wouldn't be entirely surprising if one or both of the offenses suddenly found the rhythm that was missing in the first five games of the season.
For the Jaguars, especially important will be the play of Blaine Gabbert who inspired hope in training camp and preseason, but has had a slow start in the 2012 regular season. Through five games the second year quarterback has completed 54.8 percent of his passes and has averaged 159.2 yards per game.
He'll be going against a Raiders defense that will be missing each of the cornerbacks that started for them on Week 1, as Ron Bartell is on injured reserve and Shawtae Spencer has been ruled out with a foot injury.
