Jaguars Training Camp Highlight: Tyson Alualu
Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Tyson Alualu is a very low-key player, it's just who he is. He doesn't say a lot, he's quiet, and in media sessions you've got pry him to talk at times. There's nothing at all wrong with that, that's just him, he's a great kid who's humble and works his butt off. That hard work Alualu puts in, looks like it should pay dividends in 2011.
Fantasy Football, Week 8: Blount Objects
This week I thought I’d do something a little different. I’ll still give you some waiver pickups and emergency fill-ins, but I’m not going to be posting nearly as much analysis or stats for each guy; the main focus of this column is going to be the fantasy values of Jaguars players, so let’s start with them. What I’m going to do is tell you who is worth having in how big of a league. There aren’t that many, but here we go:
Fantasy Football
Greetings, Jaguar fans!
This is my first column in what will be a recurring series. Please bear with me this time, as I'm still getting the format down. The purpose of this column will be to give fantasy football players some insight into which players are worth their waiver spots on a weekly basis. Let me answer the most likely question to be asked:
"Why should we trust you? You're just a guy."
You're right, I AM just a guy. Fantasy sports are weird in that it's difficult to legitimately be an "expert"; it's fairly unpredictable and random. I've been playing for ten years and have won numerous leagues, but that's still no reason I know any more than you do. The fact is that you should make decisions for yourself; I'm just trying to help if you want it. If I say you should pick up Danario Alexander, but you have a gut feeling about Deon Butler, pick up Butler! It's YOUR team; I'm just here to try to help.
For this week, I'm simply naming the column "Fantasy Football"; I want you guys to tell me what you want it to be called. Give me suggestions in the comments, and rec any suggestions you think are the best. The one with the most recs by the time I post next week's column will be the winner. Anyway, let's get to the players!
What will the Jaguars offense look like?
Exiting the pre-season and entering the opening game against the Denver Broncos, it's curious to see what the Jacksonville Jaguars offense is going to look like. The team chucked the football around in the pre-season and didn't run the ball very well. We were told however, that part of that reason was to work on the passing game, the running game is fine.
So, when the game planning begins, what is it going to look like when the Jaguars offense goes out onto the football field Sunday afternoon?
Jaguars: The Case for Greg Jones
Come Saturday, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a big decision to make.
Are they going to keep fullback Greg Jones?
Here, I make the case to keep Greg Jones on the roster.
