Broncos' Young, Scheffler out for game against Jaguars

Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos will be without two key offensive components when the team hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, as coach Mike Shanahan ruled out running back Selvin Young and tight end Tony Scheffler on Wednesday.
Young and Scheffler each suffered left groin strains in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Shanahan told the Broncos' website that both players should be available for Denver's Monday night matchup with the New England Patriots, October 20.
Wide receiver Eddie Royal, who suffered an ankle sprain in the same game, did not participate in practice Wednesday and his status for the game against Jacksonville is in question. Royal and defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban, who is also suffering from a groin injury, are expected to practice Thursday with each being officially labeled as probable for Sunday.
Rookie running back Ryan Torain remains out after having surgery to repair ligament damage in his elbow during the preseason.
