Secondary depleated?
Is there really an excuse for what happened when we played Pittsburg? Ben Rothlisburger threw up and down the feild, he was just playing pitch and catch out there. When i was watching I kept saying, "theres no way hes gonna complete that pass".
Then the I see downfeild, and there is a reciever wide open with no one within ten yards of him. Is this the defensive coordinators mistake, the players mistake, or about half in half? Whatever the problem is, we need to fix it RIGHT NOW!!!! The Jags were known for a hard-hitting, hard-nosed defence. Now we look like the stock market, on the verge of bottoming out.
Somebody please tell me what happened! We don't look like AFC contenders anymore, we are struggling to stay in the race. We need to destroy the next 3 teams we face, and we will be right back in the mix.

Richard Collier
Richard Collier isn't going to be playing football.
"His agent announced that after 14 bullet wounds, Collier's left leg had to be amputated. He is paralyzed from the waist down."
I am greatful that he didn't die, but at the same time, I know that he won't be able to continue his livelyhood. He was a talented player, and now his talent has been taken away from him....
My thoughts and prayers go out to you Collier.

"Lights out" for Shawne Merriman
Shawne merriman has sustained a recent injury to hisleft knee. While his team says he will be fine for the year, Merriman thinks otherwise. He is going to Miami to see a specialist for his type of injury. They say that it may require surgury. He could be out for an entire year. with Merriman out, the Chargers Defence could drop significantly. While they will still be strong, they won't be the #1 fantasy team anymore. (And I have them starting!)
Shawne wants to protect his career for the future, but his team is presuring him to play. If he goes in now, and gets injured, when he wants to re-sign the team won't take him. They'll say that he's too injury prone.
On the upside, the Jaguars now have a chance to move up a notch in the AFC, they just need to step up.

Farve and the Jets
Guess what happened to the Farve "saga". He went to the Jets. Yes he has finally left the Packers. Now he can rack up the starts with the Jets. So, good luck Aaron Rodgers. I wonder what the Packers will do on opening day instead of retiring Bretts Jersey..... I think the talk is finally over, and we can move on to other stories. But I do need to ask....
So, do you think the Jets will be better with Farve?

Season Tickets
The Jaguars have not sold all their season tickets this year, although they have they sold a good number of them. The Jaguars have introduced a half season package this year. The Teal and Black packages haven't sold out either, but not many of them are left. Both packages have rivalry games in them and are worth $210.
Season tickets are a main source of income for any NFL team, and lately people have worried about the number of tickets they have been selling. They have sold a good number this year. The Jags have 1,100 season tickets left. 100 Black-Packs are left and 400 Teal. So hopefully this year we will be able to get rid of the rumors of moving to LA because we don't sell enough tickets.
So, how many more tickets do you think the Jags will sell before the preseason opener, which is August 9th?

Harvey Hold Out
There are two sides to the hold out argument. One is that Harvey can hold out untill he gets the money he wants. The other side is that he is already earning enough money,
Harvey's agent is asking for something like a 75% increse from last year. This would be around 50 mil. The Jags offered something like a 10% increse from the pick from last year. (The longest holdout the Jags have had is Byron Leftwich, who held out 15 days.)
I'm on the side of the Jags. Derrick Harvey needs to prove his worth and then get the big bucks. Athletes are already overpaid, but in this case its just outragous. Harvey is risking everything to get a little extra money. He is going to alienate the Jags fans, and get the Jags pissed off. He needs to get on the field.
His agent argues that other players are getting some of the same increases, and that Harvey is worth it. He is preparing to hold Harvey as long as needed. Some people say greed is good. Do you agree?

Jerry Porter's season
Yeah Jerry got an injury, but that doesn't mean he won't have a great season. He was signed so we could get a No. 1 reciver, now people are acting like he won't be productive because of one injury. He has a great offence around him, and one of the best running games in the league to take off the pressure. So how many yards do you think he will get this season?

Fantasy sleepers, busts, and best players.
I'm about to have a draft in my league and I'd like to have a few more opinions before I take my players. So, I want to know, who will be the best sleeper (a player who's underrated, will be picked low, and have a terrific season compared to last.) Who do you think will be the best RB. And who will be a bust (a player who is overrated and won't do anywhere as good as last season).
So please post who will fit all three of these catagories.

Porter... Probable or Possible?
As just about everybody in Jacksonville knows Jerry Porter has an injury. He had surgury on his hamstring and will be out for the rest of the preseason. I have a feeling that it won't be a problem for Porter to learn the Jaguars offence. He may not be able to play in it untill the season, but he's a veteran and will be able to learn by watching and reading. So no problem there.

Jacksonville and the Jaguars... To be or not to be?
Many people began to panic as a writer in Seattle wrote about the possibility of selling the Jags to LA. Wayne Weaver has been quick and destroyed these rumors. But eventually Wayne will be forced to give the team to another owner. While Jacksonville is growing, we do need more people at the games.
