Here it is folks, your Official Live Blog/Open Thread.
Who: Houston Texans(3-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars(3-1)
What's at Stake: Inside track for the division lead. Jacksonville, with a win here, is set up for a decisive game against the Colts on Monday Night. Of course, the history betewen Houston and Jacksonville is pretty ugly for the Teal and Black, so it's a win here to prove we're past last years demons.
Where do we stand with a loss: Let's just say that we don't want to consider what happens to the Jags if they don't stand up to the Texans...
When: 1:00, est. Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
Why will we win: Because we're good enough, strong enough, and gosh darn it, people like us. In all seriousness, we'll win because our defense can shut down what appears to be a one dimensional Texans offense. While the Texans defense is good, look for some exploitation of their secondary in order to free up space for our running game
Pre-Game updates: Inactives: Josh Scobee, LaBrandon Toefield, Aaron Glenn, Pat Thomas, Richard Collier, Uche Nwaneri, Kenny Pettway and Reggie Hayward.
Reggie Hayward is a big loss, we've got Bobby McCray, but not a whole lot of depth. Thank god Paul Spicer can play every spot on the d-line.
Fred Taylor is on the field streatching and dressed, he'll play!
That's all for now, more once the game starts!
-C Update [2007-10-14 12:38:22 by River City Rage]: I had to retreat to a sports bar. I should see if Indigo Joes will sponsor Big Cat Country, since I seem to spend so much time here. There's something surreal about being the only Jags fan in a bar full of Chiefs fans.
Though we've got some token outsiders here. There's "Eagles Lady", eating a tuna melt. We've got "hungover LSU guy", we've got "midlife crisis Corvette hat guy", and of course, me in my Jones-Drew jersey.
