Jaguars v. Bucs: 3rd Quarter Live Blog!

Update [2007-10-28 18:25:15 by River City Rage]:And the punt gets deflected. Running game is dead, passing game is dead, defense is stuck with a short field, special teams are breaking down. We've got nothing. It's up to the defense now, and I don't know that they can do it. Mathis is shutting down Galloway, that's a good sign.

Update [2007-10-28 18:23:16 by River City Rage]:2nd down, over the head of the 6-4 Wilford. 3rd and long. Jones-Drew on the screen pass, Cato June tackles Jones-Drew for the loss. Punt time.

Update [2007-10-28 18:21:58 by River City Rage]: Another run for nothing. We're dead in the water unless we can make something happen.

Update [2007-10-28 18:20:48 by River City Rage]:I don't know what to say. Gray needs to make something happen. It's in his hands now. The Bucs are going to sell out against the run, so we've got to find a way to throw. Ugh.

Update [2007-10-28 18:17:59 by River City Rage]: Touchdown Tampa Bay. Now we get to see the Jaguars offense play from behind...

Update [2007-10-28 18:17:4 by River City Rage]:The Bucs are playing nine in the box. Nine. We have to have someone open, there's no way 2 guys can cover the entire secondary. No way...

Update [2007-10-28 18:14:5 by River City Rage]:Oh My God, we almost got a safety. Gray get's to the one yard line. Don't think we're going to go for it from here. Sweet Jesus. Defense now has a short field to protect. It's all in their hands. This is getting dangerous, very very dangerous.

Update [2007-10-28 18:12:46 by River City Rage]:We're running into a white wall. We're not getting nowhere. Then we throw and well over the head of Wilford. 3rd and long. Very long. I feel sick.

Update [2007-10-28 18:11:4 by River City Rage]: Defense gets us a 3 and out, Jags are pinned back at the 4 yard line. I'm told that the receivers are being pressed hard but in man coverage. If only a first round pick could get open, we'd have a whole different game. It's too bad though that our 1st round picks are worthless today.

Update [2007-10-28 18:6:51 by River City Rage]: Cal me crazy, but I'm freaking out. We're getting nowhere on offense against a very old Tampa defense. We're making Brooks and Barber look young again. It seems like we're running right at the teeth of their defense. This is what a team looks like when they're completely one dimensional. We have no passing threat, so they can attack us completely against the run. Glenn is back though, he just had some cramping.

Update [2007-10-28 18:3:13 by River City Rage]:4th and 1 again...going for it...again...and fails to convert. Shit.

Update [2007-10-28 18:1:41 by River City Rage]: Gray gets it himself. Whew, first time we've converted in awhile. And we throw the ball...and we throw it over Marcades Lewis' head. I can understand overthrowing Jones-Dew, but missing one of our point guard wide receivers is inexcusable.

Update [2007-10-28 17:59:57 by River City Rage]:4th and inches. We need to make this, cause we need more time to put our defense together. 5 inches. Our team can get 5 inches.

Update [2007-10-28 17:57:51 by River City Rage]: Aaron Glenn just got carted into the Tunnel. We're running out of Cornerbacks. Seriously, we're going to be missing a cornerback on nickel packages. Uh oh.

Update [2007-10-28 17:54:36 by River City Rage]: Sammy Knight with the Interception! Now let's see the Offense make this drive matter!

Update [2007-10-28 17:54:3 by River City Rage]:Jeff Lagaman is making a great arguement on the Radio broadcast. He's saying that if you think Mathis is paying as good as he could, why is Jon Gruden targeting him with old and average receivers?

Update [2007-10-28 17:52:29 by River City Rage]:Nelson is playing, never thought I'd be so glad to see number 25!

Update [2007-10-28 17:51:46 by River City Rage]: End around for the 1st down, holding brings it back though. Can't tell if Nelson is playing or not.

Here we go!

And we start with a big run by the Bucs...
