Update [2007-11-4 14:51:29 by River City Rage]: WIDE RIGHT. Jaguars dodge another 3 point bullet. Saints fans are booing the Coaches for not going for the TD. Considering that the Saints have over 400 yards of offense, I might do the same, were I a Saints fan. The Jaguars defense will be nowhere near the top ten after this game. Terrible fundamentals, even when the play call is good. I don't know where the focus went.
Update [2007-11-4 14:49:6 by River City Rage]: Another kick attempt.
Update [2007-11-4 14:48:23 by River City Rage]: God, we can't stop their offense and we give them the ball back. They're gonna get another chance at the kick. We can't tackle Colston to save our life. This is awful.
Update [2007-11-4 14:47:1 by River City Rage]:Jaguars dodge a 3 point bullet, Mare misses the field goal, wide right. We'll have 55 seconds, one time out. Will we kneel out or will we make a big play. Nope, We'll just THROW AN INTERCEPTION.
Update [2007-11-4 14:44:18 by River City Rage]: Tuck Ruled indeed. What garbage. 3rd and 10 for the Saints, 1:05 left, no timeouts.
Update [2007-11-4 14:40:32 by River City Rage]: We're gonna get Tuck Ruled here, I bet.
Update [2007-11-4 14:39:40 by River City Rage]: David Patten with a huge catch and run. He stiff armed Reggie Nelson like woah. Saints have no time outs. FUMBLE! Who's got it? JAGUARS RECOVER!
Update [2007-11-4 14:38:20 by River City Rage]:Quinn has not completed a pass since the Ankle injury. Jones-Drew gets a good run to get us out of our endzone. Reggie Bush almost screws up big time, but one of the other special teamsters got the dropped punt. Reggie went face first into a Muff, no pun intended.
Update [2007-11-4 14:35:11 by River City Rage]:Where did that crazy effective Jaguars offense go? Now we've got 3rd and a metric ton with a weak punter and a particularly nasty Saints defense. Once again, Will Smith is nasty.
Update [2007-11-4 14:31:7 by River City Rage]: We've got 2.5 min, two timeouts, two min warning. Time for a two min drill and get a TD. Or not... Penalty. Holding penalty on Mo Williams. Will Smith is having a beast of a day.
Update [2007-11-4 14:28:15 by River City Rage]:Good pressure by John Henderson, Intentional Grounding (Just kidding, there was an eligible receiver) by Brees. It looks like the only way we'll stop the Saints is to attack Brees. Oh wait, is Jack Del Rio challenging the play? I guess not. Jones-Drew back deep to catch the punt.
Update [2007-11-4 14:23:44 by River City Rage]:Fred Taylor just got into the face of Will Smith. I like the anger. Now use that anger for points. 3rd and 5 turns into 4th and 5. Gray had all day. Punt time. Not what we needed to do on offense. The Defense didn't get any rest, they didn't have time to make any adjustments, and now have to go aginst a red hot Saints offense. I'm about to enter Doom and Gloom mode about our defense.
Update [2007-11-4 14:20:13 by River City Rage]: Gray is on the field. Let's see if we can't grind out some yards. We need to slow this game wayyyyy down. Good run by Jones-Drew!
Update [2007-11-4 14:17:13 by River City Rage]: We can't stop the Saints offense. Lance Moore gets the quick pass TD. Drew Brees is looking like Peytom Manfavre.
Update [2007-11-4 14:14:48 by River City Rage]: Quinn Gray will be back next time we get the ball. Very good.
Update [2007-11-4 14:10:43 by River City Rage]: If you watched closely, you could see Quinn Gray pop a pill right before drinking out of the Gatoraide cup. Anti-Inflammatory? Pain Killer? Also, they were retaping his foot. Podlesh did a crappy punt. Jaguars think they recover, but if you push someone into a punted ball, it does not count as a "touch".
Update [2007-11-4 14:7:27 by River City Rage]: Vic Ketchman says "Will Smith went real low from behind. That was cheap. No question." Looks like we're going to see Todd Bouman. Or Matt Jones if our trend of terrible qb luck continues. Thank god we get David bck next week.
Update [2007-11-4 14:5:54 by River City Rage]:QUINN GRAY IS DOWN. QUINN GRAY IS DOWN. Loks like an ankle injury. DE Will Smith with the low tackle. Ironicaly, Will Smith took down Byron Leftwich a few weeks ago. Uh Oh
Update [2007-11-4 14:3:44 by River City Rage]: Fred Taylor needs 47 yards to reach 10,000. But he's getting very little room. 3rd and 9, Quinn Gray overthrows his first receiver of the day.
Update [2007-11-4 14:1:23 by River City Rage]: There's a good defensive play. Brees fumbled, Paul Spicer recovered. Now we need one of those long grinding drives that eats a lot of clock so our Defense can get a little rest and get their secondary straightened out.
Update [2007-11-4 13:57:58 by River City Rage]:Jaguars Secondary is getting rained on by the Saints offense. Brees has 200 yards in the air, 12/21. He's already thrown the ball 21 times!
Update [2007-11-4 13:55:57 by River City Rage]:3rd and 10! Good pressure by the defense to collapse the pocket. Zone Blitz, says the radio. Jags jump offsides, Saints convert. Nothing worse than two good defensive plays followed by a turd...
Update [2007-11-4 13:53:5 by River City Rage]: Fun Facts: That was the longest Kick off return in Jaguars history, and Jones-Drew is the only Jaguar to return 2 kicks for a TD. Drewwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!
Update [2007-11-4 13:52:9 by River City Rage]: TOUCHDOWN JONES-DREW ON THE KICKOFF! Damn! Damn! Damn! That boy is unstoppable. It's like whenever Reggie Bush makes a play, Jones-Drew comes right back for another one. This game is nothing like I thought. 17-17!
17-10, Saints. What an interesting first quarter. Defense needs to get their heads in the game. I can understand missing tackles on Reggie Bush, but Miller and Patten are ordinary players. We're so much better than this!
