Win and In: That's it, that's the whole storyline, that's the alpha and the omega of this week.  Win and we're in the playoffs.  Of course, that won't stop me from thinking about the other situations.  For example, if the Tennessee Titans lose or tie, OR the Cleveland Browns lose outright to the Bengals.

So as you're watching the games today, understand that I'll be hedging our bets by rooting pretty hard for the Jets to beat the Titans and the Bengals over Cleveland, just to make sure.

But in reality, all we need is a Jaguars win.  It's as simple as that.

Did You Know?

Did you know that this is the first time in the history of the Jaguars that Oakland has come to Jacksonville?

Did you know that the AFC South is basically the toughest division in history.  Cold Hard Football Facts [has the breakdown.  The AFC South is winning 80% of their games (42 wins out of 52.  The AFC East, by comparison, has a 44% winning percentages.

Did you know that Sammy Knight leads Jaguars in solo tackles (73), passes defensed (11) and interceptions (4, tied with Reggie Nelson).

Playoff Seeding:
Jacksonville will take the 5th seed.  We'll probably play either Pittsburgh or Cleveland.  I'd like to play Cleveland, me thinks, basing on the lack of defense and the absolute fact that at some point the clock will strike midnight and Cinderella will have to go home.  I think facing a  real team like the Jaguars will end what can only be described as a fantastic run.

So I just contradicted myself in this post.  I can't root for the Bengals to beat the Browns if I want to go to Cleveland in the playoffs.

Crap.  This is one hell of a time to have an existential crisis.

Ok, I'm going to go for a bit.  I'll be back with the Live Blog in about 90 min.  As always, stop by and follow along with the Game at the WORLDS MOST FUN LIVE BLOG!
