Mock Draft Wrap Up: 3.13.07

Time for our weekly look at what the internets are saying about the Jaguars and the Draft.  It's obvious that the drafters got a whiff of the Jags visit with Reggie Nelson, as it's nearly unanimous that he'll be our choice.  I know a lot can change between now and then, but that's what I'd like to see as well.  Anyhow, with that said, here's what a semi random sample of sites say.

Fantasy Football Cheat Sheets picks Reggie Nelson S, Florida.  That's a choice you know I like.

The Sports Outlaw is feeling the same way, picking Reggie Nelson S, Florida.

Given who is available with this pick, the number of injuries to Darius, and the likeliness that Deion Grant will be gone, look for the Jaguars to add Nelson to patrol deep in the secondary.

The Draft Daddy stays on defense but picks Lawrence Timmons LB, Florida State.

A nasty defense keeps getting nastier as Timmons upgrades the outside linebacking spot.

MT comes to his senses and picks Reggie Nelson] S, Florida

We built Mock Draft City is liking the idea of a defensive pick, but rather than Nelson they go for Quentin Moses DE/LB, GA

Huddle Geeks go a little different and select Chris Houston CB, Arkansas.

The folks at D&J go back to the old faithful, Reggie Nelson S, Florida.

The Anastrophe of Draft Mock pick Quentin Moses DE/LB, GA

NFL Answers stay with the University of Florida, but think Jarvis Moss DE, Florida, is our choice.

East Coast Sports News goes with Reggie Nelson S, Florida.

Draft Connection picks Reggie Nelson S, Florida.

Nelson's impressive pro day (he ran the 40 in 4.35 sec., had a 10'6" broad jump and did well the drills) is sure to grab Del Rio's attention. The Jags still need DE help and A. Carriker had a good showing at his pro day himself, but this draft is deeper at DE than safety. He will add an instant spark to deep secondary with his hard hits and ball skills.

The Computer Assisted Draft Tek stays with the trend and picks Reggie Nelson S, Florida.  (To be fair, they picked him last week as well)
