Update [2007-4-29 11:35:21 by River City Rage]: I'm clearly having trouble formatting this post. I've got no idea why all this white space is there. Terribly sorry folks.
With the 101'st selection in the draft, Jacksonville selects Maryland Punter Adam Podlesh. Um...we traded down with Baltimore, missed a great chance to grab a top tier DE in the third just to get a punter? I know we want to challange Chris Hudson on special teams and I know that we lost a few games because of bad punts and punt fielding. But I think there was better talent out there. Tanard Jackson, CB from Syracuse, for example. Anyhow, this kid is considered the top punting prospect and should have a bright future. I imagine this means the end of Chris Hudson though, considering that we picked up a challanger punter in free agency. Also, he runs a 4.45 forty yard draft, so he's a decent guy. I just don't understand why.
And San Fran get's one of the better DE's with a pick a few moments later.
Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but I'm suddenly dissapointed in the Jags. Given the absurd amount of picks I have nothing but the highest of standards for this draft. A punter in the early fourth is not a "high standard" move.
Jacksonville's next selection is at 114. I have no legitimate idea who they will pick. Thankfully the 4th round is only 5 min per pick, so it won't take long to find out.
