Another good re-signing by the Jaguars today! Outside Linebacker Tony Gilbert agreed to a contract, though the terms are still unknown. While Tony spent the 2007 season on Injured Reserve with a bicep injury, he lead the team in Special Teams tackles in 2006 and is fantastic in that role.
With Mike Peterson being a wee bit injury prone, even though he's still tough as nails, having a guy like Tony to fill out our linebacking corps is always a good thing. Of course, I don't see Tony lining up in the middle anytime soon, but it's still a good re-signing.
Now, we've still got some big money to give out though, Jack Del Rio and David Garrard both need extensions, and sooner would be better.
As an aside, I just arrived in Indianapolis, and will begin my combine coverage as soon as I get settled!
