Farewell old friend, till we see you again.
It's Offical, the Jaguars have traded Defensive Tackle Marcus Stroud to the Buffalo Bills. In return, we received the Bills 3rd and 5th round picks. Buffalo had an extra pick in each round, so I'm not sure if we got the high ones or the low ones in each round. Buffalo has the 72nd and 73rd pick in the 3rd round and the 138th and 142nd pick in the 5th, so either one is close. Iit's a great deal. Jacksonville traded away the highest salary on the roster for the potential to move around in the draft.
First off, for all your Buffalo Bills information, visit my good friend over at Buffalo Rumbings. He and I will be doing an interview later about Stroud, so stay tuned for that.
I can't contain my excitement enough over this trade. Sure we've got a bit of a hole on our defensive line, but we've freed up a lot of space, and given the Jaguars lots of room to move around. Not to mention that we fleeced the Bills, as bad as that sounds, but I don't think Stroud is worth trading away draft picks.
It's clearly the best first two days of free agency EVER.
I've got to run another errand, but I'll be back in a few hours with the full story!
