Jacksonville Jaguars Scouting Locations Week 5

Another college football Saturday, another busy day for the Jaguars scouts. Chris Steuber is reporting the Jaguars will have scouts at East Carolina/North Carolina, Miami/Clemson, Penn St/Iowa, and Idaho/Western Michigan.

The game that'll feature the most NFL talent is probably Iowa/Penn St. Headlining that game is Iowa DE Adrian Clayborn. Clayborn is a likely Top 10 pick in next year's draft and considering the Jaguars recent penchant for lineman, he may be their choice. On the other side of Clayborn is Christian Ballard. Ballard is also a likely 2nd/3rd round player. Also, keep an eye on Iowa's Jr safety Tyler Sash. He's an underrated safety prospect.

As for Penn St, C Stefen Wisniewski could draw some attention. He's one of the top center prospects in the country. Considering the Jaguars need to inject youth into the interior offensive line, he's a likely target.

Clemson has a secondary featuring several solid NFL prospects. S DeAndre McDaniel headlines the group and is a fringe 1st rounder, while CB Marcus Gilchrest is a mid round guy. Also, DE DaQuan Bowers is an expected Top 15 pick.

Miami's secondary also features a wealth of NFL talent. CB Brandon Harris is looking like a Top 15 pick right now. S Ray Ray Armstrong will also be an early round selection, if he comes out. G Orlando Franklin is another player to keep your eyes on. He's in the 2nd tier of guard candidates and has some good upside.

A good chunk of North Carolina's NFL talent is still suspended as part of the fallout from the agent scandal. However, linebackers Bruce Carter and Quan Sturvidant will be playing on Sundays next year.

As for the other three schools, I don't know enough about them quite frankly. I do know this is the second Western Michigan game the Jaguars have been at, so I'll look into them more.
