Jaguars make it official, sign Patrick Ramsey

The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially announced the signing of Patrick Ramsey and the release of Gerald Alexander. Ramsey is expected to run the Jaguars scout team at today's practice.

Todd Bouman is also expected to be signed once all the paper work is done, but no word yet on who they plan to release.

UPDATE:

According to Mark Long of the AP, the Jaguars released linebacker Jacob Cutrera to make room for Todd Bouman.

Also to note, Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports that quarterback Trent Edwards has a splint on his right (throwing) hand. Edwards says there is nothing structurally wrong with it, just a bad sprain. He hurt his thumb on the 4th or 5th play of the game, according to Edwards. He said his thumb got worse at half time, but he attempted to play through the injury.

Quarterback David Garrard was also not present at the facility today, but there is no reason given as to why. Garrard suffered a concussion in Monday Night's game against the Tennessee Titans. Garrard wasn't expect to practice today.
