Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard has officially been ruled out for the game on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. According to Jack Del Rio, Garrard will not even travel with the team to Kansas City.

I noted this was likely earlier in the week, as Garrard had been away from the facility all week until today, where he stood on the sideline in shorts and watched his teammates practice.

Trent Edwards had the wrap on his right hand removed and did practice, but was limited as Todd Bouman took the majority of the reps.  Edwards has been officially ruled as questionable for Sunday's game, and the starting quarterback will be a game-time decision.

The team also announced that Don Carey and Courtney Greene will start at the safety positions, as expected.

Another note to add to the "odd" department with Garrard having gone all week until today away from the facility and without a concussion test, he was asked today by Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union when he got in if he had taken a concussion test and merely just gave a thumbs up. After practice, David Garrard left the facility without speaking to the media.
