Marcedes Lewis reportedly turns down contract extension, Jags expected to add a DT

According to CBS Sports, Jaguars TE Marcedes Lewis has turned down a contract extension by the Jaguars. The report goes on to state that Marcedes wants to see what his value is at the end of the season.

Lewis is most likely banking on having a Pro Bowl caliber season that will help him in negotiations. Not to mention he probably doesn't want to end up in the same situation as Rashean Mathis found himself in by signing an extension early. While it is certainly too early to say Lewis is going to leave Jacksonville, it certainly appears the Jaguars will need to open up their pocket book a little wider.

In addition, Adam Caplan reports the Jaguars are looking to add FA DE C.J. Mosley. Mosley is a journeymen DE who was last on the Jets roster before being put on IR to end his 2009 season. Not sure who will be released to make room for Mosley.
