Big Cat Country reaches 2,000,000 hits

Big Cat Country has now reached over 2,000,000 unique visitors during it's lifetime. Since we didn't do anything for when the site reached 1,000,000 hits, figured now would be a good time.

When BCC launched in August 2006, a grand total of 228 people made their way to this site. Now, BCC usually gets that by 1am EST in an average day. The next month, 1,259 people came to the site. Typically BCC will have more hits than that by the time you're sneaking a peak at the office during the morning break.

It took BCC 42 months to go from 0 to 1,000,000 unqiues. It took us just 9 months to get to 2,000,000. In fact, despite BCC being over 4 years old, over 60% of the total lifetime traffic for the site has happened in the last year.

In short, this site, and it's wonderful community keep growing exponentially. From all of us, I would just like to say Thank You to our wonderful readers.
