The time Kassim Osgood got pistol whipped.
Not a joke.
Here is a story from the Florida Times-Union sent to me on Twitter (thanks Mark) that I found pretty surreal. Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver and special teams ace Kassim Osgood was apparently pistol whipped by a woman's ex-boyfriend. Osgood had to leap out of a second story window (bad dude) to escape the gun wielding attacker, according to Dan Scanlan of the Times-Union.
By the time it was over, the armed intruder traded gunfire with the woman after sticking a gun to her head, saying, "What did that football player say to his girlfriend, it's a good day to die," misquoting ex-Florida Gator Chris Rainey's recent text message to a former girlfriend after an arrest, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
Osgood, a Pro Bowl special teams player in his first season with the Jaguars, had some minor bruises from his escape and being pistol-whipped, the report said.
What in the world.
It gets CRAZIER.
The gunman ran after her, so Osgood jammed a chair under the game room door handle and jumped out a window to the lawn below, running to a neighbor's house to call police. Meanwhile, Bartletto and Putnal confronted each other downstairs with guns. The woman targeted him with her laser sight before both shot at each other and missed.
I got nothin'.
