Brain Galiford of BuffaloRumblings.com and Dan Kadar of MockingTheDraft.com released a mock draft today. As we all know, and for those that don't, the Jaguars currently select 16th overall in the draft. Here's who they had the Jaguars picking:
16. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8): Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State (SO). This team hovers on the edge of playoff contention yet again, but can't get there because of their lack of offensive firepower. Adding a sophomore with 111 catches and 20 touchdowns in one season seems like an OK idea.
Now, I'd be perfectly fine with the selection, but I'm not so sure I can see general manager Gene Smith picking a wide receiver in the first round. Given who's still available, I'd consider some guys like DE Adrian Clayborn, DE Cameron Jordan, OLB Akem Ayers, ILB Greg Jones, and QB Jake Locker.
