While it's not news about the Jaguars, it's big news for the AFC South. Whenever a superstar from another team within the division, and in this case the division leading Houston Texans, it matters.

Mario Williams left the game on Sunday against the Raiders with an apparent pectoral injury. The Texans confirmed that he will need surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle and that he will be placed on injured reserve to make room for newly acquired receiver Derrick Mason.

The Texans are in their first year with a new 3-4 defensive alignment so any and every injury hurts. Especially the loss of former first overall selection, Williams, who was excelling in his new role as an outside linebacker. He had accumulated five sacks through the first five games of the season prior to his injury.

The Jaguars face the Texans in weeks eight and twelve on October 30 and November 27.
